Affligé par l’absence paternelle et ne pouvant plus vivre dans des conditions difficiles, Mawson choisit à son tour de s’exiler avec ses frères dans le but de rejoindre son père. Ce n’est que quelques années plus tard, en accumulant plusieurs boulots jour et nuit, que Mawson permet au reste de sa famille de le rejoindre. C’est alors qu’il fonde sa première entreprise familiale. A la tête de celle-ci, Mawson voyait son père comme un modèle. Homme de valeurs, il apprenait et transmettait à son fils de nombreux savoir-faire. A cette époque, il n’est tout autre qu’un jeune homme «qui aime s’habiller »
La genèse d’une passion !
Très vite, il comprend la valeur des souliers et leurs importances dans la mode masculine. A cette époque, lorsque tout va si vite, il apprend le décès de son père. Ce n’est autre que la tristesse qui gagne le cœur de cet homme aux mille ambitions. Mais il ne baisse pas les bras et continue son combat contre la vie. Mawson commence à fortement s’intéresser aux souliers et choisit finalement de se lancer dans la création. Il y voit là une double opportunité. Créer sa propre gamme et proposer des produits qui l’inspirent.

C’est en exerçant un métier qui le l’anime et qui le passionne que Mawson excelle dans son domaine. À travers le temps, il perfectionne sa collection de chaussures de ville pour homme et importa plusieurs styles en France. Italien ou anglais rien ne lui échappe. Les richelieus à bout rond fleuri au look anglais ou encore les mocassins à boucles originaires d’Italie ne sont plus un secret pour lui.
